CHRISTMAS M&M COOKIE BARS

INGREDIENTS:

-1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
-1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
-1/2 cup granulated sugar
-2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
-3 large eggs
-3 cups all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 teaspoon salt
-2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (12-oz. bag)
-1 cup white chocolate chips
-1 cup red and green M&M’s

DIRECTIONS:

1-Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease large rimmed baking sheet with nonstick spray.
2-In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy (about 1 minute). Beat in the vanilla and eggs. Stir in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and half of the white chocolate chips.
3–Using a large rubber spatula or wooden spoon, spread the dough onto the prepared pan in an even layer. The dough may be thin if using a very large sheet pan, but will puff and close holes during baking …
