SPICY STUFFED PEPPERS WITH BEEF ,ITALIAN SAUSAGE. TOPPED WITH PEPPER JACK CHEESE

SPICY STUFFED PEPPERS WITH BEEF ,ITALIAN SAUSAGE. TOPPED WITH PEPPER JACK CHEESE

INGREDIENTS :

  • 1lb minced beef 80/20
  • 1/2 lb sweet italian sausage
  • 1 médium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic( minced)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup cooked parboiled rice
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp adobo seasoning
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • 1 14.5 Oz stewed tomatoes
  • 1 15 .25 oz sweet corn
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  • 8 slices of pepper jack cheese (1 10 ounce bag)

DIRECTIONS :

  1. Add beef and sausage ,onion and minced garlic to a large heated skillet cook about 5 minutes until most of the pink colour is gone from the meat .
  2. drain excess fat if any now season with pepper flakes, black pepper, onion powder ,garlic powder and 1 tsp of parsley then add the stewed tomatoes, sweet corn ,rice ,ketchup ,worchestershire sauce 1 cup sharp cheddar and 1 cup mozzarella mix well taste to see if you need the 1tsp of sugar to balance out the stewed tomatoes. (I didnt use it)
  3. Now add the stuffings to the peppers. This is enough for 5 to 6 peppers.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 50 minutes then top with 2 slices each pepper jack cheese or cheese Of your choose.
  5. Top with remaining 1 tsp parsley.
  6. Continue baking until cheese melts about 5 minutes more .hope you all enjoy.!
  7. I used only 4 peppers so I add alot of stuffings left over.
